Working together to enhance police responses to child sexual exploitation and related vulnerabilities
Tag:
The CSE and Policing Knowledge Hub held the first of their three Research Forum events this month. The aim of this first research forum was to give police colleagues an opportunity to critically appraise what working in a multi-agency context actually requires in order to effectively safeguard adolescents from harm (including child sexual exploitation and other forms of CSA, sexual violence and other vulnerabilities they experience).
The event was a great success. Over 50 police colleagues with representation from 24 police forces across England and Wales attended the forum and engaged in discussions relating to responding to CSE whilst working in a multi-agency context. The CSE and Policing Knowledge Hub team would like to thank all the speakers and participants for their attendance and valuable input.
If you were unable to attend the Research Forum and would like to listen to the presentations from the day you can find these on our webinar page. We would invite you to forward on the link to the website and webinars to colleagues you feel would be interested in them.
The CSE and Policing Knowledge Hub plans to hold two more Research Forums between now and March. The dates and locations of the Research Forums are still to be confirmed. We will keep you updated on this. If you are interested in attending future Research Forums please contact: Tooba Saeed:Tooba.saeed@beds.ac.uk.
